What are voice lessons like for kids?
Voice lessons at Teachout Music Studio prepare kids to sing alone and with others for auditions, contests, recitals...and just for fun!

Leslie initially enrolled her son, Jake, in voice lessons because he wanted to audition for the elite choir at his school.
Through taking voice lessons, Jake not only made the elite choir, he surprised himself with the power and range he discovered in his own voice.

Voice lessons also gave Jake opportunities to perform outside of school, and he even got to sing with some professional singers:

Ken loved to sing even before he started taking lessons. He sang with several community groups and for fun.
But he didn’t know how to read music. He felt stuck. He relied on recordings and others to help him learn his parts. He also had difficulty singing high notes. Sometimes singing felt strained and even painful.
Since taking lessons, Ken now has a process for learning music all on his own. He is learning music faster and easier than ever before, and is even getting paid to sing.

Learn the skills you need to sing with confidence, expression, and ease. We make the process fun by allowing you to sing the music you love in a low-stress environment where YOU set the pace.

In only ONE lesson you will:

learn the ABCs of singing that will allow you to sing with freedom your whole life

sight-sing using solfege: Sing perfectly your first try, empowering you to learn more music faster

increase your vocal production by up to 20%: Sing with more resonance and better tone quality. You will be able to fill a room with your voice

begin to build confidence in yourself as a singer and performer

learn to read music on the grand staff, the same staff professionals use. This will give you the independence to sing any song and even write your own music.
Within 6 months of lessons you will:

learn the 4 step process for learning any music you want

learn to present yourself with professionalism. This includes speaking and singing clearly, projecting yourself to be heard and understood, and developing a commanding presence with your posture and attitude. (You can apply these skill to many other life situations as well!)

learn the 4 step process for singing in front of anyone: Recitals, auditions, contests, for fun, and even paid performances! You will learn how to enjoy performing instead of feeling nervous.

increase your vocal range to be able to sing higher and lower, allowing you to sing more of the music you love.
